It is Dot Day - Inspired by the book by Peter Reynolds!
We won!
In the library there was a large dot hanging on the wall with lots of little colorful dots inside of it. Each class at the Batch had to estimate how many dots were in the large dot. We had a great discussion about how to make a good guess. In the end, we were only off by 10 and won the prize... DOTS candies! Thanks to Mrs. Shaw for putting on a great Dot Day and to Mr. Killeen for our prize! Fun stuff!

Word Study
We have been playing with sight words in Room 18! We used 4 new tools to practice our words: Clay writing, letter beads, magic stones and wikki stix. With each, the children had to read a word off of our word study list, make the word using the tool, show it to a friend and ask them to read it.
